This Mf Doodled His Whole House and It’s Rad As Hell

Who is Mr. Doodle?

Sam Cox is an artist based in London, England who calls himself Mr Doodle — and this guy is now famous for doodling a whole actual entire house for the ultimate art design project that was years in the works from planning to execution to completion. Here is the awesome clip if you haven’t seen the viral video of it on your social medias:

Basically every last inch of Sam Cox’s 13-room house is totally covered in his brilliant black-and-white doodles. Every last inch! That includes his toilet seat, radiator, desktop computer, flower pots, alarm clocks, coffee mug, picture frames — and even his own clothes. And it’s not just the objects he doodled on. Sam Cox doodled every single wall, floor, ceiling, doorway, hallway, kitchen counter, fireplace and window shutters, basically any surface in the house that could be drawn on was drawn on. That includes an entire dining room table and chairs, and all the cushions and couches. It’s frankly astonishing and rad as hell.

How did the Doodle Man doodle his house?

Sam Cox and his wife Alena purchased the house in Tenterden, Kent for about $1.5 million in 2019 and started doodling in September 2020. Mr. Doodle’s creations are influenced by the cartoons and video games he consumed as a childhood, and the results have a Keith Haring sense of charm and playfulness. But this was not made overnight. The bedroom took two weeks. The bathroom took two months. The whole house took two years. It also took him more than 400 cans of black spray paint, as well as 2,296 pen nibs and 286 bottles of drawing paint. Sam Cox spared no expense to cover every inch by hand.

This was basically Mr. Doodle’s childhood dream — and Sam and Alena intend to further fulfill Sam’s childhood dream by living in the house with no intention of selling.
